SBEDC works with Texas Workforce Commission and Workforce Solutions Cameron to obtain workforce development grants such as: 

  • Skill Development Fund
  • Work Opportunity Tax Credit
  • Skills for Small Business

The city also works with local schools and businesses to create a pipeline of skilled workers. This includes providing scholarships to students who are studying in high-demand fields and working with businesses to create apprenticeship programs.
